How my journey began

Hi, I’m Milene. I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and have been living in Massachusetts for the past 8 years. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in many different mental health settings, which has helped shape the compassionate and supportive approach I bring to therapy today.

Outside of my work as a therapist, my most important role is being a mom. I have a beautiful 6-year-old daughter diagnosed with autism who is truly the light of my life. Her journey has deepened my understanding of patience, advocacy, connection, and the emotional experiences many parents carry every day. I am also a foster mom to an amazing 17-year-old who has brought so much joy and meaning into my life.

Family and connection are incredibly important to me, and I’m grateful to have a close-knit family and supportive friendships that keep me grounded. When I’m not working, you can usually find me spending time with loved ones, shopping, or enjoying a good binge-watch of my favorite comfort shows like The Office or Friends.

I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, understood, and genuinely connected. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you can feel supported through life’s challenges while also recognizing your strengths along the way.

Milene Andrade is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). She completed her bachelor degree in Psychology, and Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling.
